Cooking Instructions

Crush tuvar dana (lilva) along with green chilies in chilli cutter or electric chopper. Crush cloves and cinnamon stick in mortar and pestle and make powder form.

In a pan heat oil. Add crushed tuvar dana and stir well. Add salt and mix it. Cover with lid and cook on low flame until mixture cooked well. Stir in between.

Add crushed cloves cinnamon powder, garam masala, lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Switch off the flame. Finally add powdered sugar, mix well. Stuffing is ready. Let it cool down at room temperature.

Knead little soft dough from all purpose flour, rava, salt, ghee and required amount of water. Rest for 15-20 minutes.

When stuffing is cool enough, make small balls from it.

Prepare equal size small balls from dough. Take a ball, roll out puri, put stuffing ball on centre and start pleating and seal it. Remove extra dough from top. Prepare all kachoris like this

First deep fry in hot oil kachhapakka. Then fry again until golden and crisp from outside. Delicious lilva kachori is ready to serve. Serve with green chutney and date tamarind chutney.
