Cooking Instructions
- 1
Drain tofu and let sit in strainer for 30 mins to drain further. Pat excess liquid with paper towel.
- 2
Combine all ingredients except tofu in a med ziplock bag. Massage bag to mix ingredients.
- 3
Cut tofu lengthwise into 1/2 in. steaks.
- 4
Add tofu to ziplock bag and seal bag. Move bag around to cover all side of tofu with marinade. Marinade in the fridge for at least 1 hour. I marinade it overnight.
- 5
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 6
Remove tofu from marinade and place in a single layer in a baking dish.
- 7
Bake for 45 mins until golden brown. Flip tofu over and bake for an additional 15 mins.
- 8
This is great as a snack. Variation: Cube the tofu instead of cutting into 1/2 in. steaks then add the cubed tofu to salads for added protein.

Tofu Steak Wrapped in Sliced Pork using Frozen Tofu Tofu Steak Wrapped in Sliced Pork using Frozen Tofu
Frozen tofu has a lot of benefits . You can use it instead of meat and it often appears on our family table.Even if you reduce the quantity of meat you still have a satisfying dish. This is why I tried to make recipes with frozen tofu. This time I used ginger as the main flavor to season because my husband loves it .When you freeze the tofu you can put the packaged tofu in the freezer as it is. There is a possibility that it may swell and explode so it might be better to put the package into a plastic bag. It is ideal to defrost the frozen tofu at room temperature but If you use the microwave, transfer the tofu in a spacious heat-resistent dish and put it in a 500w microwave for about 6 minutes.
