Fried fish is a traditional cookout food in most African American families. We normally prepare this outside in a huge fryer! Enjoy with sliced bread, hot sauce, mustard......and a cold one!

Fried fish is a traditional cookout food in most African American families. We normally prepare this outside in a huge fryer! Enjoy with sliced bread, hot sauce, mustard......and a cold one!

Ingredients

  1. 3 pieceCrocker, Whiting, Brim or favorite fish
  2. 2 cupself rising flour
  3. 1 cupcornmeal
  4. 1 tsponion powder
  5. 1or you can use HOUSE AUTRY seafood breader

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Have fish monger scale, bone, and clean fish. When you get home soak in cold water with 2 tbsp of salt.

    Mix dry ingredients and place fish in dry mix

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a deep cast iron skillet

  4. 4

    Fry about 3 minutes each side
