Cooking Instructions

Combine onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and milk in a large mixing bowl. Allow a few minutes for bread crumbs to soak up milk.

Add ground beef to mixture. Mix well using your hands.

In a large skillet, heat oil and melt butter.

Form mixture into 1"or 1 1/2" balls. Add to skillet and cook until browned on all sides

Remove balls with slotted spoon and place in a 9 x 14 deep baking dish. Set aside for now.

Add cornstarch to your skillet and mix with existing pan drippings until bubbly.

Add beef broth and heavy cream. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and boils for a minute or so.

Remove sauce from heat and poor over meatballs in baking dish.

Place in oven and bake at 325°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Serve over egg noodles.

(Optional) you can add noodles directly to baking dish when you remove from oven. The noodles soak up the sauce nicely.
