  9. 3 tbspolive oil
  10. 2 1/2 tbspcornstarch
  11. 1 canbeef broth (12 oz)
  12. 1 cupheavy cream

Cooking Instructions

1 hour
  1. 1

Combine onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and milk in a large mixing bowl. Allow a few minutes for bread crumbs to soak up milk.

  2. 2

Add ground beef to mixture. Mix well using your hands.

  3. 3

In a large skillet, heat oil and melt butter.

  4. 4

Form mixture into 1"or 1 1/2" balls. Add to skillet and cook until browned on all sides

  5. 5

Remove balls with slotted spoon and place in a 9 x 14 deep baking dish. Set aside for now.

  6. 6

Add cornstarch to your skillet and mix with existing pan drippings until bubbly.

  7. 7

Add beef broth and heavy cream. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and boils for a minute or so.

  8. 8

Remove sauce from heat and poor over meatballs in baking dish.

  9. 9

Place in oven and bake at 325°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  10. 10

    Serve over egg noodles.

  11. 11

(Optional) you can add noodles directly to baking dish when you remove from oven. The noodles soak up the sauce nicely.
