Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupmoth dal
  2. 2nos boiled egg
  3. 1/2 cupchopped tomato
  4. 2 tbspchopped ginger garlic
  5. 1/2 cupfresh cream
  6. 1/2 cupchopped onion
  7. 1 tspchilli powder
  8. 1 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  9. 1 tspcumin powder
  10. 1 tspgaram masala powder
  11. 1 tspturmeric powder
  12. 1 tspsalt
  13. 1/2 cupchopped coriander
  14. 1 tbspoil
  15. 1 tbspghee
  16. 1 inchCinnamon sticks
  17. 4-5Cloves
  18. 2-3Cardamom

Cooking Instructions

    Wash the moth dal and soak for 4-5 hours. Boil the dal with ample amount of water.

    Heat oil in a kadhai and put whole cinnamon,clove and cardamom. Add chopped ginger, garlic after masala crackle. Saute for 2 minutes and add chopped onion, fry till onion colour is brown.

    Add chopped tomatoes and all the dry masalas and salt. Cook masala till oil separated from the side.

    Now add boiled moth dal in it and give it a good mix. Saute for 2 minutes and add 1 cup of hot water.

    Cook well and add fresh cream, slices eggs and chopped coriander. Switch off the gas and add 1 tbsp ghee, put a lid and give it standing time.

    Serve moth dal egg tadka with naan, roti or paratha.
