On days when I feel like eating a different kind of dal, this one hits the spot! Easy to make, and full of flavor, you’ll go back for a second helping ☺️
Steps

Rinse and soak all dals in the given ratio for at least 30 minutes.

Drain and pressure cook dals with water, salt, turmeric, and asafetida until soft.

Adjust dal consistency with extra water if needed.

Heat ghee in a small pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.

Add onion and tomato, cook until soft.

Add all spices and dry red chilies, sauté for a few minutes.

Pour tadka over dal, add cilantro, simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve hot.
Tips
For extra flavor, you can add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
