Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsPlain flour
  2. 1 1/2 tbspYeast
  3. 7 tbspSugar
  4. 1 tbspCardamom powder
  5. 1 cuplukewarm milk
  6. Cooking oil for frying
  7. 1egg
  8. 1 tbspCooking oil
  9. Sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

    Pour the milk in a mixing bowl and add in the yeast. whisk and let sit for at least 10 minutes

    Add the rest of the ingredients except the sesame seeds and the flour, whisk vigorously

  3. 3

    Add the flour little by little as you knead to a soft stiff dough, ensure the dough is not sticky

  4. 4

    Remove from the bowl, dust your work surface and knead again for 2 - 3 minutes. ensure it doesn't stick on your fingers

    Grease your bowl and place the dough. cover and let double up in size

  6. 6

    Remove from the bowl and place on a dusted surface again and knead once more.

    Divide into desired sizes and make medium sized balls

    Dust the work surface again and place one ball, apply some milk on the ball, sprinkle some generous amount of sesame seeds. roll to a circle and divide the dough into desired shape (do this for the rest of the dough). place on a dusted tray and let rise for some minutes

    Fry on medium heat until they are golden brown on both sides

    Remove and place on an underlined container

  11. 11

    Let rest for some time before serving
