Ingredients

  1. 1Pomfret Fish – pieces (medium size)
  2. Forfirst marination:
  3. 1 tspLemon Juice
  4. 1/2 tspSalt
  5. For second marination:
  6. 2 tbspOnion Paste
  7. 1 tspGinger Paste
  8. 1 tspGarlic Paste
  9. 1/2 tspGreen Chilli Paste
  10. 1/2 tspKashmiri Red Chillii Powder
  11. 1/2 tspTurmeric Powder
  12. pinchGaram Masala Powder
  13. 2 tbspLemon Juice
  14. To tasteSalt
  15. 2 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

    Clean and wash the pomfret fish and make 3 slit marks on each side with a sharp knife. Marinate with 1 tsp lemon juice and a little salt. Leave for 15 minutes.

    In the mean time mix together onion-ginger garlic and green chilli paste.Add 2 tsp lemon juice, salt, turmeric powder, kashmiri chilli powder, garam masala powder. Mix everything together.

    Wash the fish pieces and dab with a kitchen towel to dry the outer side. Pour the spice paste on them and rub the paste all over the fish and inside the fish using your hand.

    Cover and marinate in the fridge for 1 hour.

    Heat a grilling pan .Apply little oil to the pan or plate.
    Place the pomfret along with marinade.
    Cook on both sides till done.Serve with salad and lemon wedges.
