Ingredients

  1. 1bringal large
  2. 2chopped Onions
  3. 3tomato
  4. 1 tspOil
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. 1red chilli powder
  7. 1 tspgaram masala powder
  8. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  9. 1/4 tsphing(asafoetida)
  10. 2 tbspgreen chilli, ginger and garlic paste
  11. 2 tbspchopped fresh Coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Roast the bringal on a medium flame till well cooked and the skin has charred completely.

    Cool, peel and mash.

  3. 3

    Roast the tomato on a medium flame.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, add hing, add onion saute for 2-minutes, onions till light golden brown. Add green chilli, ginger and garlic paste. Saute for 1-minutes.

    Add chopped tomatoes, salt, redchilli powder and garam masala powder. and saute till the masala is cooked and the oil rise to the surface.

    Add mashed brinjal and mix well. Cook for 5-minutes

    Add chopped fresh Coriander and mix well.

    Serve hot. Serve with Rotla, garlic chutney, gud, buttermilk, green chilli, and ghee.
