Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupred kidney beans/ rajma soaked overnight
  2. 1finely chopped onion
  3. 2red tomato finely chopped
  4. 1 tspgreen chillies paste
  5. 1/2 tspginger garlic paste
  6. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1 pinchturmeric powder
  8. 1 tspdhania powder
  9. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  10. 1bay leaf
  11. 1/4 tspcummin seeds
  12. 2black peppercorns
  13. 2cloves
  14. 2 tb oil
  15. To tasteSalt
  16. 2 tbspFinely chopped fresh coriander leaves to garnish
  17. 1 cupBoiled rice to serve with rajma

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wash & soaked red kidney beans/rajma overnight Pressure cook soaked kidney beans/ rajma with salt and pinch of soda bi carb.. Keep aside.

    In kadhai heat one tsp oil,add chopped onion and tomato pieces..saute lightly. Cool and grind to puree in mixer grinder.

    In same kadhai heat oil,add and saute black peppercorns, cloves, bay leaf, cummin seeds.

    Add green chillies paste, ginger- garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, dhania powder,garam masala mix well. Add grinded onion- tomato puree. Saute till oil separate.

    Add boiled rajma and salt. Cook till oil separate.

  6. 6

    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

  7. 7

    Serve hot delicious Rajma with boiled rice.
