It's very popular breakfast or snack item of western countries. It tastes something like sweet bread. You can say it's fried sweet bread. And generally coated with chocolate, sauces or dryfruits. Kids enjoy it a lot.

Here I made it by taking half of whole wheat flour to make it somewhat healthier as I made for my son..

Ingredients

3 hours
15-20 pieces
  1. 1 cupall-purpose flour
  2. 1 cupwhole wheat flour
  3. 3/4 cupwarm milk
  4. 1/4 cupbutter at room temperature
  5. 2 tablespoonssugar
  6. 1 teaspoondry active yeast
  7. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  8. 1/2 cuppowdered sugar
  9. 50 gmsdark chocolate
  10. 50 gmswhite chocolate
  11. As required Some colorful sugar sprinklers

Cooking Instructions

    In a bowl take warm milk add sugar and yeast. Mix it. Cover it. And keep aside for 10 minutes. So that yeast arises. Then add butter to it. In another bowl mix together both flour and salt and sieve it.

    Now add this flour to milk and Knead a dough. If required take from remaining milk and form a soft dough. Now take half of the dough and roll it to 1 cm thickness. With doughnut mould cut the doughnuts. Arrange them in a plate. Brush them with oil. And keep aside for 2 hours.

    After 2 hours fry doughnuts in flavourless oil on medium flame till golden brown. Rub them in powdered sugar.

    Now in a double boiler melt dark and white chocolate in separate bowls. Deep the doughnut in chocolate and fleep and place in the plate. Do same with all doughnut. Now spread sprinklers on it.

    Now keep them in fridge for 1/2 hour. So chocolate is set. Then enjoy yummy doughnuts in your way. Use them within 4-5 days.
