Ingredients

  1. 200 gramspoha
  2. 1large onion finely chopped
  3. 1medium size potato finely chopped
  4. 5-10curry leaves
  5. 20 gramspeanuts
  6. 1 teaspoonMustard seeds
  7. 1 teaspoonturmeric powder
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. 1/4 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  10. 2 teaspoonsugar
  11. As neededOil
  12. For garnishing
  13. 1small tomato finely chopped
  14. Aa neededNamkeen sev
  15. to tastelemon juice
  16. As neededcoriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Rinse the poha in water till they soften.
    They should loose their crunchiness and when you break them between your finger, they should easily get crushed or mashed.

    Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt and mix it well.

  3. 3

    Roast the peanuts and potato in a pan till they become crunchy.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in the same pan.Crackle the mustard seeds first.
    Then add onions and saute them till they become translucent.
    Add curry leaves. Saute for half a minute.

    Now add our poha to it and also add roasted peanuts and potato to it.mix it well.

    Now add sugar and cover the pan with lid for 4-5 minutes.

    Your Kanda batata poha is ready to serve. garnish it with lemon juice,tomato, namkeen sev, and coriander.
