Ingredients

45 minutes
3 servings
  1. 2 cupsrajma soaked overnight
  2. 1bay leaf
  3. 1 inchcinnamon stick
  4. 1clove
  5. 1badi elaichi
  6. 2black pepper
  7. 2 cupbasmati rice
  8. 2medium size onion sliced
  9. 3tomato, chopped
  10. 2-3green chillies finely chopped
  11. 1 tbspcrushed ginger
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. 2 tspcoriander powder
  14. 2 tspKashmiri red chilli powder
  15. 1/2 tsphaldi powder
  16. 1 tspgram masala
  17. Handfulcoriander leaves chopped
  18. 1 cup rice
  19. as required water

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, put rajma and add water and a pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles.

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker adds bay leaf, cinnamon stick, badi elaichi, clove and black pepper. Now add onion, ginger-garlic paste and Kashmiri red chilli powder fry till it's brown.

    Add water, tomatoes and green chillies and pressure cook for 2 whistles.

    Add all the spice powder together coriander powder, haldi powder, salt, gram masala mix well. Further, add cooked rajma along with the water mix well, close and cook for 10-15 minutes in medium flame.

    Open and add coriander leaves mix well and serve hot with rice.

    Firstly, soak rice in water for 1 hour. Fill the vessel half with water and add rice and salt. Bring it to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook the rice until tender.
