Cinnamon Raisin Bread Cinnamon Raisin Bread
Have I mentioned I’ve tried to make yeast bread over the last 35 years and failed miserably? Well, I have. I’ve followed recipes down to a T. Failure! I’m thinking I’m making it harder than it has to be. I know there’s a lot of ‘feel’ to it. I introduced my grandson to cinnamon raisin bread and the smell alone, from the toaster, was all it took to sell him hard. It’s expensive stuff right now!! 5 bucks a loaf? And the loaves are dinky. Delicious, but dinky. I went in WITHOUT a recipe except my own little quick hot roll recipe, and made 2 loaves for Pennie’s, literally. I even used whole wheat flour and golden raisins. It can be made with either flour. I like the fiber in whole wheat. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -
Honey Oatmeal Whole Wheat Slab Bread Honey Oatmeal Whole Wheat Slab Bread
This is another version of my Hot Roll recipe. This time I used whole wheat flour, because I need all the fiber I can get and I like the nutty flavor. I also love oatmeal so I added that too. Nice nibbling bread. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -

Basic Bread Dough Basic Bread Dough
This is the bread we make most often at our house The dough has a nice texture and it's easy to handle. When kneading the dough in the bread machine, if you put in all of the ingredients, including the butter, from the start, the finished bread will become stale faster. Kubota Sake Sandwich Bread Kubota Sake Sandwich Bread
Since I'm such a lightweight, I can't drink Kubota sake, but since I want to indulge in it, too, I made this bread.I tried some fancy bread that used a 20-year-old sake lees called "kinsei" and loved it, and it got me interested in sake and sake lees.Be careful not to let the pot boil over when softening the rice. With the regular water content of sake and rice, the dough will be sticky and wet, so dust your work surface with flour, and reduce the amount of water. The photo shows the bread with 50% extra strong flour. Recipe by Osshosan cookpad.japan -

Onion Filled Bread Sticks Onion Filled Bread Sticks
Onions are in season, so I incorporated them into a bread dough. My kitchen was filled with the sweet aroma of onions and roasted shrimp. It's delicious freshly baked, but also good after 30 minutes once the flavors meld.Don't use oil when sautéing the onions (Step 1). But, since they burn easily, make sure to stir the pot constantly. Instead of shrimp, you can use minced bacon, or sprinkle with black pepper. Recipe by miyuki12 cookpad.japan
