Lamb meat along with Cabbage makes for an amazing combo. It gives the plain old leafy veggie a new look. And who doesn't like it if it's made this way. It's a parmesan feature at my dining table. Cabbage is one such Vegetable that many of us dislike but if it is made this way, iam sure it will be a hit. It's very simple and done with just a few pantry staples. And also done very quickly as well. The best part is that it can be relished with both Rice and Rotis. And it's very much like everyday cooking. Nothing special ingredients needed for this amazing dish. Serve this at main meals. And relish it's superb taste and texture. This combo is sure to tickle your tastebuds and win hearts.

Ingredients

25-30 minutes
6 servings
  1. 1medium sized shredded Cabbage
  2. 400 gmLamb Bone-in
  3. 2 tspGinger garlic paste
  4. 1 1/2 tspSalt
  5. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  6. 5-6slit Green Chillies
  7. 1/2 tspRed Chilli powder (optional)
  8. 1 tspCoriander powder
  9. 1/2 tspCumin powder
  10. 1small bunch chopped Coriander Leaves
  11. 2-3 tbspOil
  12. 2-3chopped Onions

Cooking Instructions

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

Heat Oil in a pressure cooker. Saute Ginger and garlic paste along with finely chopped Onions. Also add slit Green Chillies as well.

  2. 2

Now throw in all the powdered spices or masalas. After almost about 3-4 minutes, add in the Mutton or the Lamb Bone-in. Saute it on a high heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Pressure cook for 6-7 whistles or more as needed with water as required. Do not add more as meat will also leave a lot of water whilst cooking. Open the lid only after the steam settles down on it's own.

  3. 3

Now add shredded Cabbage to it. Mix well and let it simmer on a medium high heat. In between, keep checking while stirring. As cabbage releases a lot of water, do not add extra to it. Let it cook on a low to medium high heat stirring it as and when possible.

  4. 4

Garnish with chopped Coriander Leaves and adjust Salt. Serve hot. Yum!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
