Cooking Instructions

Wash and sock the rice for 10 minutes,after that discard the water and pressure cook the rice with enough water and 1 tbsp of ghee.

Now boil the water and add Jaggery. stir till Jaggery dissolves.
When the pressure cooker cools down open the lid and sieve the jaggery water in the rice and mix well. - 3
In another pan add ghee and roast the dry fruits and raisins then add it into the rice,jaggery mixture.
Put the cooker on the gas and let the excess jaggery water dissolve and rice becomes a lumpy mixture..
Sweet Pongal is ready.
Transfer in a bow, sprinkle dry fruits and serve..
