Gluten-Free Scallion Pancake Gluten-Free Scallion Pancake
Gluten-free scallion pancake is inspired by the Korean seafood pancake. It’s easy to make and only requires 4 ingredients.Scallion or green onion pancake is a Chinese savory often served as breakfast at food stalls in Taiwan. Unlike western pancake, scallion pancake or Chong Yo Bing in Mandarin is traditionally made of dough and folded several times with sliced green onion and oil then pan-fried. The highlight of this slightly salted pancake is its crispy edge with a chewy and flaky texture. For someone who has a gluten allergy like me, a regular version is not an option so I have decided to create something that has the closest taste and texture to my favorite food since I was a child. This recipe was inspired by the Korean seafood pancake, Haemul Pajeon. Since this pancake is made from grounded mung bean and not flour, achieving that chewy and flaky texture can be trickier. The key is to spread out the mung bean paste thinly and add as much sliced green onion as possible. In this recipe, I added a moderate amount of salt. If you prefer it saltier, please sprinkle some more before serving.Video Instruction: youtu.be/JflDzBeQa10 Julie - Mrs. Lin's Kitchen -

Potato cabbage pancakes Potato cabbage pancakes
I love those potato pancakes so I decided to make them and kick it up a notch and added a bit of cabbage and spices.. They turned out amazing. I usually drown potato pancakes in sour cream and applesauce but these honestly tasted so good I didn't want to lose the flavors - didn't even need it. YUM. Make a big batch and freeze or heat to eat whenever. Jenny -
Black Soybean Matcha Tea Okara Cake Easily Made With Pancake Mix In a Rice Cooker Black Soybean Matcha Tea Okara Cake Easily Made With Pancake Mix In a Rice Cooker
This is a version of "Black Bean & Okara Cake (Matcha & Kuromitsu Flavour)" -made with pancake mix. I revised the recipe after winning some sweetening black beans. If you use plain boiled beans, it will be less sweet and nice to serve with dinner. If you use matcha tea latte powder (use 2 sticks worth) instead of plain matcha tea powder, reduce the brown sugar syrup by half to adjust the sweetness. For made in a 5.5 cup capacity rice cooker. Recipe by tearstar cookpad.japan -

Rice Pancake (Topped with a Sunny Side Up Egg) 🍳 Rice Pancake (Topped with a Sunny Side Up Egg) 🍳
I always seem to cook too much rice. This recipe turns leftover rice into a crispy, tasty pancake that can be eaten on its own or used as a base for all kinds of toppings. I like to eat my rice pancakes topped with an egg, but you could also use kimchi, pulled pork, ham, etc. Or they’re great on their own! 😋#GlobalApron Week 8 - Leftover Rice#Dinner #Lunch #Savory #Vegetarian Chris Gan -
Sawahlunto’s Pancake (ALE-ALE Serabi) Sawahlunto’s Pancake (ALE-ALE Serabi)
Ale-ale is a typical dish from the hamlet Tangah Sawah, village Silungkang Duo - municipalities Sawahlunto, in West Sumatra province, and also in the Muaro Sijunjung and Solok areas. It looks like a famous pancake that comes from a Java island (called SERABI), but it does not use coconut milk so it has a different flavor and is tasty and soft. This pancake has existed since the epoch of our ancestors. It's unknown why it's called ALE-ALE. It is usually made from rice flour, coconut milk, palm sugar and grated pandan water. These cakes can be found during the morning (sold by a vendor from dawn/Subuh until 6 o'clock in the morning), and is always used as a breakfast food by local communities --- besides Bubu samba. With delicacy and its distinctive aroma, this food has become much loved by the consumers. This snack can be eaten by anyone, from children to adults. Ale-ale was even requested for any events outside Silungkang, such as Jakarta and other areas.During the EXHIBITION and FASHION SHOW SONGKET SILUNGKANG at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Cikini - Central Jakarta on 30-31 October 2012, ale-ale was served to fill the Los Lambung (food stand) at the event --- alongside Coki, Lupi (lupis), Soup and Soto.TIPS : To speed up the fermentation process, placed the bowl of dough over a bowl of warm water. But always keep an eye on it, so it doesn’t get too many bubbles in the dough because it will make the dough sour (excessive fermentation). Here is the recipe "ALE-ALE Serabi ala Sawahlunto" which I tried to make ...
