Ingredients

  1. 1/4 Cupmoong dal
  2. 1/2 Cupoats
  3. 2 tablespoonghee
  4. 5-6cashew
  5. 1 teaspoonturmeric powder
  6. 1green chilli
  7. 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  8. 3-4black pepper
  9. 1 pinchasafoetida
  10. 2 teaspoonsalt
  11. 2 teaspoongrated ginger
  12. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper powder
  13. 2 cupswater

Cooking Instructions

    Dry roast moong dal in a cooker,add water and turmeric powder and take 3 whistles in cooker so that moong dal is cooked to smooth consistency.

    Next in a pan add ghee and roast cashew till golden brown and remove in a plate.

    Now in another pan dry roast oats for 3 to 4 minutes so that oats will not become sticky.

    Next in a pan add ghee,then add cumin seeds and black pepper and saute properly till it is aromatic,then add asafoetida, green chilli, salt.

    Add water to it and let it boil. Then add oats to it and allow to cook properly.

    Mash the cooked moong dal and then add to the oats and mix well. Now add blackpepper powder, grated ginger,ghee.

    Garnish with roasted cashews and fresh green coriander leaves and serve.
