A very popular lachcha Pakoras with a variation & very colourful too . These vibrant pakoras are vegan with crispy outside & perfectly spiced that you 'll not stop at one . These pakoras are a very popular snack in our house . I hope it becomes too in your house.

Beetroot : helps in stroke prevention, heart disease, lowers blood pressure. It is rich in protective antioxidants , improves your exercise performance & supports energy levels .

Carrots : helps in good eye vision, digestion, lowers blood pressure, are some of the lovely orangish - red carrots benefits .

Nowadays the trend is eating healthy ,
nutritious food . But sometimes we do tend to pamper ourselves by eating something fried or junk . Yet I have tried to make this recipe as healthy as I could & get the maximum benefits from beets & carrots.

Ingredients

10 minutes
2 serves
  1. 1/2 cupbeetroot, grated
  2. 1/2 cupcarrots, 🥕 grated
  3. 1onion, thinly sliced
  4. 1 tspgreen chillies, finely chopped
  5. 1 tspginger, grated
  6. 3 tbspbesan
  7. 2 tbsprice flour
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil for frying
  10. Fried green chillies & a lemon slice as an accompaniment

Cooking Instructions

10 minutes
  1. 1

In a bowl / plate take grated beetroot, grated carrots, sliced onions ginger & green chillies.

  2. 2

Add green chillies, ginger, besan & rice flour. Mix with hand. Press a little so water will be released from the ingredients. Do not add salt now.

  3. 3

Keep oil for frying. Just before making pakoras, add salt in the batter & mix well again with your hand. Do not add any water at all.

  4. 4

The oil has to be very hot 🔥 when you drop in the pakoras. Drop small uneven pakoras in hot oil. Now make the flame slow & fry them till golden & crispy.

  5. 5

Remove them in the kitchen paper. Serve hot with tea / coffee. Relish in this pouring rain -- hot, spicy & kurkure pakoras with a board game with your family.

  6. 6

Note : As already mentioned above by me, don't add any water in the batter or your pakoras will be lumpy & not crispy. The onions & salt in the batter will release water so absolutely no need to add any water at all.
