Jalfrezi means hot fry. Originally this is a bit on the hot or the spicy side but of course it can be made to suit our palate as per our own convenience. There is no need of adding much hotter Green Chillies and instead can be sufficed with different coloured Bell Peppers like I did for my family. The only thing is the thick sauce that is the main attraction apart from the topping done with cubed Onions and Bell Peppers of various colours. That's it. The dish looks instantly beautiful with an irresistible sauce and a perfect healthy topping of sauteed Bell Peppers. You would love it for sure.
Jalfrezi is my go to dish whenever I don't feel like cooking an elaborate meal for my family. This dish comes to my rescue each time. It's absolutely refreshing and flavourful plus easily done with everyday spices available in any pantry. Be it Lunch or Dinner or a visit of uninvited guests or extended family, this is just perfect. It is always a crowd pleaser. Let's get started with the recipe straight away. Instead of boneless Mutton cubes, I have used Mutton bone-in for a more creamier and flavourful Curry. It's absolutely awesome and pairs well with freshly made homemade Parathas and Naans.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Put the oil into a deep, wide saucepan or a saute pan. Add the onion and cook on a gentle heat, with the lid on, for about 3 minutes, until the onions are softened but not browned. Add the mutton bone-in first. Saute a little until the colour changes a bit. Next add ginger garlic paste, red chilli, cumin, coriander, garam masala and turmeric. Stir well and cook for 2 more minutes. Also add roughly chopped tomatoes too.
- 2
Stir well to coat the meat in the onions and spices and add fresh tomato paste either homemade or store bought. Bring the curry to the boil and then pressure cook for 6-7 whistles or as required.
- 3
Let the steam settle down on it's own before opening the lid of the cooker. After done, cook on a medium-high heat or until the sauce has reduced to your liking. Also don't forget to adjust salt.
- 4
Meanwhile in a tablespoon of oil, saute cubed coloured bell peppers and also an onion too in a separate pan. You can use any number of coloured bell peppers that are available to you easily along with the green capsicum. Saute on a low just until done for about 4-5 minutes.
- 5
Stir occasionally. And add it to the cooked mutton in sauce. Stir in the chopped fresh coriander (cilantro) and remove from the heat.
- 6
Serve with plain boiled rice, pulao or naans. Enjoy!

Indian Green Bell Pepper And Chicken Curry: Home Style Chicken Jalfrezi Indian Green Bell Pepper And Chicken Curry: Home Style Chicken Jalfrezi
I saw that bell peppers are in season and for sale at the market, so I made this recipe. A curry with bell peppers, onions, tomato and meat is called Jalfrezi, but it's not a family recipe, so I thought up the spices and aimed for a simple home cooking version. If you are a vegetarian, please use paneer instead of chicken. If you don't like food that's very spicy, omit the cayenne pepper and halve the amount of garam masala. If you are using cumin powder, add it with the ☆ spices. For 2 servings. Recipe by Plabar cookpad.japan -

Mutton pasanda Mutton pasanda
Mutton pasanda is a complete no water dish and is very easy and quick to make. This recipe is very special to me because I noted it down from a cookery show when I was in school. So sharing with you all the recipe of mutton pasanda. Enjoy it with your family! Happy eating!!!! Kamalika Basu De -
Shahi Mutton Kasundi Shahi Mutton Kasundi
#post21 - This is a real shahi dish where mutton is cooked in a creamy mustard gravy. It goes well with pulao, jeera rice, plain Biryani, tandoori roti, naan or any Indian bread. In this recipe, I have added kasundi (bottled Bengali mustard sauce) and almond paste to make the consistency more rich and creamy. So you have an easy and a yummy mutton curry to relish. In case of non-availability of kasundi, you can use some homemade ground mustard paste. So go ahead and try this delectable dish and relish with any form of rice preparation or Indian bread. I marinated the mutton with yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste, and other dry spices before continuing with my cooking process. The end result was simply awesome with a hint of mustard flavour and the creaminess coming from the ground paste of almonds. It is a great party recipe for special occasions. #goldenapron Bethica Das -
