Ingredients

  1. 200 gmsSoya Chunks
  2. 5potatoes small sized , peeled , boiled and mashed
  3. 3onions medium - large , finely chopped
  4. 4 Clovesgarlic , finely chopped
  5. 1 1/2 Tbspsginger , finely chopped
  6. 1/3 cupcoriander leaves chopped
  7. 1 1/2 TbspsCurry Powder Sri Lankan
  8. 1/2 TspGaram Masala Powder
  9. 1 tspRed Chilli Paste
  10. 1/2 Tsppepper powder
  11. 3/4 cupbread crumbs
  12. to TasteSalt ,
  13. Oil

Cooking Instructions

    Soak the Soya chunks in a bowl of warm, salted water for about 5-10min. The Soya chunks become puff up becoming heavier and spongier.

    After 5-10min squeeze the water out of the soya chunks and put all of the soya into a food processor. Give it a couple of whizz's until the soya chunks have turned into a

    Fine mince. Transfer the minced Soya into another large bowl.

    In the same bowl, along with the minced soya, add the mashed potatoes, finely chopped onions, garlic, ginger and coriander leaves. Also add the Curry powder, Garam Masala

    Powder, Pepper powder, red chilli paste, bread crumbs and Salt.

    Mix all the ingredients well and then shape them into round flat cutlets.

    Heat up a lightly oiled pan and fry each side of the cutlet on medium-low heat for about 15min in all.

    Serve hot, with your favourite sauce/dip, or enjoy them just as they are.
