Dates & Tamarind chutney (saunth)

Ingredients

  1. 50 gramtamarind
  2. 50 gramjaggery
  3. 15-20dates (khajoor)
  4. 1 teaspoonroasted Jeera powder
  5. to tastesalt
  6. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
  7. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  8. 1 tablespoonraisins
  9. as neededblack salt

Cooking Instructions

    Soak tamarind for 2-3 hours. Remove Seeds of dates.

    Grind tamarind & dates into smooth paste. Strain paste with a big strainer.

    Heat a pan

  4. 4

    Add tamarind & dates paste, 1/2 cup water, jaggery, salt, red chilli powder & Add tamarind & dates paste and jeera powder

  5. 5

    Bring it to 3-4 boils. Add raisins.

  6. 6

    Once thick chutney ready remove from gas.

  7. 7

    Once cool. Keep it in fridge. You can use it at least 15 days.
