Ingredients

  1. 5-6white bread cubes
  2. 5 tablespoonssugar free
  3. 4 tablespoonschopped roasted dry fruits
  4. 11/2 tablespoonsghee
  5. 1 pinchcardamom powder
  6. 2 tablespoonschopped pistachios
  7. 1 cupkhoya
  8. 1 teaspoonrose water
  9. 1/2 cupmilk

    Assemble all the ingredients first.

    Take a heavy bottom pan and heat ghee in a low - medium heat.

  3. 3

    Now add the bread cubes and mix it with ghee and begin to roast them. Stir at intervals while roasting bread cubes. Roast till the bread cubes crisp and light golden. Add the sugar free and mix it well.

    Now add the milk and khoya stir constantly in low medium heat.

    Once the bread halwa mixture thickens then after that keep on stirring often or continuously. Add the chopped dry fruits, pistachios, cardamom powder and rose water.

    Continue to stir and mix till the entire bread halwa mixture has come together and you see some ghee at the sides. The stickiness in the mixture should not be there. The consistency of bread halwa will be like sooji halwa.

    Garnish Bread Halwa with a few of dry fruits and pistachios. Serve hot or warm.

    Leftover Halwa keep can be refrigerator and warmed just before serving.
