Singkong Gula Jawa/Sweet Cassava Indonesian Style

One of the rainy season snacks, we used to eat when I was a child. My late mom used to cook this and we are fond of this snack. Sweet, sticky, and melted in the mouth. In the original recipe, usually, people add the coconut milk as a topping, but I add coconut milk while boiling the cassava.

Cooking Instructions

Clean and chop the cassava into small pieces. Prepare the saucepan, put the cassava add the water till all the cassava is covered by water./
Cuci bersih singkong dan potong kecil-kecil. Siapkan panci, masukkan singkong tambahkan air sampai semua singkong terendam air. - 2
Add palm sugar, sugar, pandan leaf, and vanilla essence then boil it till the water it finishes, once it finishes adding the coconut milk and continue to boil./
Tambahkan gula aren, gula pasir, daun pandan, dan esens Vanilla lalu rebus hingga air habis, setelah selesai tambahkan santan dan terus didihkan. - 3
Sweet cassava is ready to serve when the liquid batter turns sticky./
Singkong manis siap dihidangkan ketika cairan berubah caramel.
