This is my mother's easy madeleine recipe.

Since you only need a few tools, it's not so difficult to make. If you knead the batter too much at the end, it becomes sticky, so be careful. Work gently. When you use salted margarine, it will taste more like country-style madeleines... For 10 in a madeleine pan. Recipe by Dark78

Ingredients

10 servings
  1. 100 gramsCake flour
  2. 1/3 tspBaking powder
  3. 100 gramsSugar
  4. 2Eggs
  5. 100 gramsMargarine (unsalted or salted)
  6. 1 tspLemon juice
  7. 1Vanilla extract (or Vanilla oil)

Cooking Instructions

    Sift the cake flour and baking powder twice in a bowl. Add the sugar (I used brown sugar in the picture) and mix briefly with a whisk.

    Break the eggs brought to room temperature, and briefly mix with the whisk.

  3. 3

    Melt the margarine (microwave for about 30 seconds at 600 W). Add the margarine, and lemon juice into the bowl, and mix until the batter becomes glossy.

    Pour in the butter greased mold and bake in the oven preheated to 180℃ for 15 minutes (the baking time differs on your oven).
