Cut the purple cabbage up into bite sized pieces, then season with salt. Heat a large cooking vessel with enough room in it to cook it all. Heat the broth. Simmer the cabbage. Add the Smokies to the cabbage.

Cut up the green cabbage salt it. Then add to the purple cabbage. Place the stick of margarine. Season with summer savory. Cover and stir occasionally till tender. About an hour of cooking, it should be tender enough.
