Sambal Goreng Kentang Tempe (Indonesian Potato and Tempeh in Spicy Chili Sauce) Sambal Goreng Kentang Tempe (Indonesian Potato and Tempeh in Spicy Chili Sauce)
‘Sambal Goreng’ is a traditional Indonesian dish which is made from chili peppers cooked with some other ingredients such as potatoes, tempeh, tofu, eggplants, green beans, etc. It’s quite different from ‘Sambal’ which refers to Indonesian chili sauce/paste which typically is made from a mixture of chili peppers with secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, coconut sugar, lime juice, etc. and served as condiments. It’s savory, slightly sweet, and of course it’s spicy 🥵 Best served over warm white rice 🍚 By the way, you can always omit the ‘stinky beans’ part as they are really stinky. It may cause your breath to smell for a day or two 😁😅😂If you like my recipes, please follow me on my Instagram @jenscookingdiary @jenscookdineandtravel 🙏🏻😊😘 jenscookingdiary -

Stir-Fried Pork with Shiso Leaves Stir-Fried Pork with Shiso Leaves
My mother used to make this dish a lot. She didn't add onions, but I made this new variation to add lots of veggies. The key is not to heat the shiso directly (residual heat is enough). If you are using pre-chopped pork, all you have to do is add it to the pan. This recipe is especially a must when sweet (or new) onions are in season.-Sweet onions cook pretty fast. When you've cooked the meat in Step 3, don't worry about removing it - it's also fine to sauté the sweet onions with the meat still in the pan! For 2 servings. Recipe by Totoro&mei cookpad.japan -
Falafel Bhajia Falafel Bhajia
This is a fusion from the Med and India - via the Middle-East. Falafel & Bhajia are both seasoned with herbs then fried. They're actually very similar recipes already - with Bhajia using Gram Flour (or Besan). The raw mixture also doubles up great as Vegetarian burgers. So just shape into burgers shapes - cook straight in the oven and no frying will be needed! Ricky -
