Tuna and Potatoes with Lots of Onions Tuna and Potatoes with Lots of Onions
When I made simmered tuna and potatoes the usual way (with dashi stock, soy sauce, sake, and mirin), the sweet onions tasted a bit too sweet to me... so I omitted what I could to make this really simple. I think it still tastes really delicious. To highlight the umami of the tuna, the sweetness of the onion, and the fragrance of the shiso leaves, I've simplified the flavor. If you use regular onions and don't feel there's enough sweetness, add a little mirin to adjust the flavor to your taste. For 1 to 2 servings. Recipe by Optea cookpad.japan -

Ham Fried Rice (ハムチャハン) Ham Fried Rice (ハムチャハン)
This is a very simple fried rice recipe that I adapted from Just One Cookbook. It's quick and easy and quite flavourful. Mrs Wyrm doesn't find green onions as bad as regular onions so they get into this. This should really be done with a wok but I don't have one that works on my induction cooktop so I made do with a frying pan. I also used bacon grease instead of cooking oil which added even more flavour. 蛟龍Stormwyrm -

Fried Beef Sausage with Potato Pancakes Fried Beef Sausage with Potato Pancakes
YUMMO!! Usually use a fry pan for both of these, but decided to try the deep dish bake pan from the Foreman Evolve System. Worked great. Had a bowl - which was used to make the potatoes in and to mix ingredients, the deep dish pan, a plate and utensils......cant ask for easier clean up. I did use beef sausage, as I really don't do pork. Add what you like to it, onions, garlic, chives, cheese, etc. Sheila Calnan -
