Hoagie Rolls Hoagie Rolls
Size of roll is up to you. I wanted larger rolls and instead of 18 smaller ones I did 8 larger rolls each about 8-10 ounces each. I made them longer, subroll size. I also made the cut slit on the side not the top. I cut it most of the length of dough so I had top golden brown and slightly domed with a slightly flatter side or bottom. This made a more authentic looking Hoagie roll in my opinion. They turned out great and was perfect for kielbasa with sauerkraut. Would also be great for a chicken parm hero or meatball sub. chris.zurhorst -
Matcha Hotteok [Green Tea Pancake] Matcha Hotteok [Green Tea Pancake]
Hotteok is a Korean pancake typically filled with gooey brown sugar syrup and nuts. It has a rather crispy exterior and nice chewy texture. Best served warm to get that syrupy melt in the mouth sensation.I added Matcha to create a green tea variation but you can certainly opt it out for the original version. This is my favorite pancake and I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do. Luqaimat (Sweet Fried Dough Balls) Luqaimat (Sweet Fried Dough Balls)
I really love this dish, especially with milk tea in the morning or evening, or even without tea. I usually make my sister Heba’s recipe for luqaimat whenever I want to eat them for breakfast with tea. But this time, I decided to try a recipe I had written down a while ago but never tried. It’s a bit different because it’s soaked in syrup, while my sister’s version is delicious and fluffy with powdered sugar. I decided to try this one, and it turned out really great—my husband loved it, and I ate every last piece! I hope you enjoy it if you try it.هند أسامة
