Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupsmaize flour
  2. Water
  3. Sugar/Honey for sweetening

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

In a container put the flour and water to make a paste. Forgot to take a picture.

  2. 2

Cover and let it ferment for 3-5days, i did mine for 5 days, i like it bitter.

  3. 3

How it looked like on day 5

  4. 4

It was too thick, i added a tablespoon of water.

  5. 5

Under low heat i placed a heavy sufuria and the paste.

  6. 6

Keep turning to avoid it burning

  7. 7

    Let it brown

  8. 8

Some will be big lumps, try to break them with the wooden spoon as you turn

  9. 9

You can have it as it is or soak in water and add sugar/honey. I add honey in mine

Hi! I tried this recipe and when I checked my ferment, it was full of moulds. What could I have done wrong?
