Over this passed winter season I was blessed with an abundance of dried beans!👏🤠 However, I dont have much experience cooking with them.🤷🏻‍♀️🤔 This was one of the first ideas I had and also gave me a chance to use up our leftover Christmas ham! #souprecipe #splitpeas #driedbeanrecipe #15beanrecipe #hamandbeansoup #fridgecleanout #leftoversmakeovers

Cooking Instructions

When the onion and garlic are cooked, pour in the chicken broth, water, ham, split peas, and beans. Also add in fresh herbs & dried seasonings to taste. Stir to combine.

  5. 5

Cook over medium heat until the soup begins to boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for one hour 30 minutes, until the beans are softened and the liquid has thickened.

  6. 6

    Serve Hot & Enjoy!
