Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupblack urad daal
  2. 1/4 cupRajma( kidney beans)
  3. 3 cupwater
  4. To tastesalt
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1 tspturmeric powder
  7. For tadka
  8. 1onion
  9. 8-10garlic cloves
  10. 1 inchginger
  11. 1tomato
  12. 2green chillies
  13. 4 tspdesi ghee
  14. 1 tspcumin seeds
  15. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  16. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  17. 1/2 tspcumin powder
  18. 4-5 tspamul fresh cream
  19. For garnishing
  20. 1 tspGreen coriander leaves
  21. as neededAmul fresh cream
  22. 2 tspButter

Cooking Instructions

    Boil both black urad dal and rajma along with salt, red chilli and turmeric powder for 30 to 35 minutes.

    In a pan heat ghee and add cumin. After that add chopped onion, chopped ginger garlic, chopped green chillies and chopped tomatoes. Fry it for 5 to 7 mintues or until oil separates.

    Now add coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder and mix it well. If it start burning add little water.

    Now add boiled daal, mix it well and cover it for 5 mintues on low flame. Now add amul fresh cream again mix well and cover it for another 5 minutes. Check consistency and seasoning. Our daal makhani is ready, garnish it with amul fresh cream, cube of butter and green coriander leaves.
