Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupsoy beans
  2. 5 tbspgrated coconut
  3. 1 tspCoriander seeds
  4. 2red dried chilis
  5. 2 podsgarlic (optional)
  6. 2 tspmustard seeds
  7. 4-5curry leaves Salt to taste
  8. 1chopped onions
  9. 1/2 tspTurmeric Powder
  10. Water for boiling
  11. 2-3 tsproasted peanuts
  12. 1 tbspolive oil or coconut oil

Cooking Instructions

    Soak 1/2 cup soy beans overnight.
    Drain the water and pressure cook it with salt and little water.

    Grind grated coconut, 1spoon coriander seeds, dried red chili and garlic in a blender with water as needed.

    Heat pan with oil and temper with rai,curry leaves, haldi and hing.

  4. 4

    Add one chopped onion and fry till transparent. Now add peanuts and sauté for a few seconds

  5. 5

    Add ground paste and add cooked soybeans

  6. 6

    Can add little water to mix well.
    Cook for 6 to 8 min or until water evaporates and Masala starts browning.

    Enjoy this healthy and protein packed soybeans Upma in breakfast or evening snacks.
