Deep Fried Mac N Cheese Bites

Ingredients

10 minutes
2 to 4 people
  1. Mac N Cheese (homemade or store bought)
  2. Bread Crumbs
  3. Melted Butter
  4. Bacon Bits (optional)
  5. 3Large Eggs; Beaten
  6. All Purpose Flour
  7. Chives (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Pull out a medium/ large cookie sheet and place parchment paper in it.

    Take the mac n cheese and spread it evenly all over the cookie sheet. Place in the freezer for at least four hours if not longer. Creamier mac n cheese will take a longer time to freeze than regular mac n cheese.

    Take an ice cream scoop and scoop the mac n cheese into small balls.

    Roll the mac n cheese balls into flour.

  5. 5

    Take the mac n cheese balls covered in flour and dip it in the melted better. And then roll it in the bread crumbs with bacon bits (bacon bits optional). You can repeat this step if you like.

    Add some of the balls to the deep fryer (make them in small batches of about 4 to 5 to make sure they get cooked evenly).

    Wait around 3 to 4 minutes for each batch. Check to make sure the balls are golden and crispy.

    Remove from deep fryer and place on a plate with paper towel.

  9. 9

    Serve immediately (and with chives if desired).

I have a deathly food allergy to the vegetable peppers 🌶. I constantly have to "modify" recipes to suit my allergy needs. My recipes will never include peppers -- however, you may add them when you feel its necessary.I love cooking with cheese and discovering new ways to enjoy cheese ( so don't be surprised by all the cheese recipes okay ).I hope you can find at least one recipe on my page that will make your day 🙂
