Cabbage Soup with Ham

Fried Cabbage With Ham
Bacon is traditionally used in this dish, but I rarely have it on hand. You can use ham steaks, leftover baked ham, or even lunch meat from the deli. This goes great with pork chops, corned beef, smoked sausage, etc. Don't be afraid of overfilling the pan, it will shrink down considerably as it cooks.

Cabbage and Ham Cheese Soup
It takes around 20 minutes to bake bread, scones and muffins. I came up with a soup that I could make while breads are baking and would be ready at the same time. It's easier with grated cheese, but if you use cheese slices, shred them into small pieces first. Recipe by caramel-cookie

Rolled Cabbage and Cured Ham
I love cabbage and cured ham. This is the type of recipe a drinker thinks up.Wrap the cabbage as tightly as possible. This way the rolls will look very nice when cut.Two of my nutritionist friends tried these out, and they both liked the sesame oil version better to my surprise. Choose whichever version you like. Ham and Red Cabbage Salad
I recreated the salad that's sold at the deli counter in a certain department store food hall. I think that they use red onion rather than regular onions, and chicken rather than ham, but I adapted it to use ingredients that I can easily get at our neighborhood supermarket. If the salad is lacking in tartness, add a little lemon juice or vinegar. You can use any type of ham you like, but I recommend pastrami. Recipe by r2230
