Easy Chocolate Snowballs

My sister gave me a recipe where they were quite floury. They tasted good but the floury feeling bothered me, so after some trial and error I finally came up with this.
My sister is also satisfied with this taste. When I distribute these cookies with tea to relatives, they disappear in no time.
Since everybody always asks if I bought these, I decided to post the recipe here. Please try them.
You can leave the butter out to bring to room temperature or you can heat it up in the microwave to melt it.
After that, just mix.
You don't even have to sift the powdered ingredients. Just mix until the it's no longer powdery.
Then it's just forming into whatever size balls you want. But if they are too big, you need to change the baking time.
Try to make them all the same size as much as you can please.
If you try to coat them with powdered sugar before cooling them, the sugar will melt and since the cookies are soft, they will fall apart easier. So make sure to cool completely before coating with sugar. Recipe by Maimama

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Bring the butter to room temperature and lightly stir.
- 2
Mix in the sugar until the it becomes incorporated into the butter.
- 3
Sift the cocoa powder and the flour into the mixture from Step 2 and mix together. Mix until no longer floury.
- 4
After mixing, it will look like this. You might think it's too soft, but it's completely fine like this. Next is, just to form into appropriate sized balls. I rounded them to be about the size of my thumb.
- 5
Bake for 15-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 170°C - 180°C.
- 6
Once they have finished baking, let them cool. They soft just after baking and can break easily so be careful. They are harder after cooling than right after baking.
- 7
Next, put some powdered sugar into a plastic bag. Place the cooled off cookies in the bag and shake so that they are covered in the powdered sugar. They're done. They're crisp and the cocoa powder is so rich that you'll be surprised there's not actual chocolate in them. They are so tasty.
- 8
For those who prefer harder cookies, increase the amount of cocoa powder by 10 g and the amount of flour by 10~20 g. They finish as a perfect circle. I formed the balls after chilling them.

Crispy Chocolate Snowballs Crispy Chocolate Snowballs
I wanted to make delicious chocolate and nut snowballs. These cookies have chocolate as well as cocoa powder in them, and are amazingly crispy. Even if you use snacking nuts, these cookies are very elegant, and great as gifts. If the hot water used to melt the chocolate is boiling hot, the cacao in the chocolate may become burned and grainy, so be careful. The hidden flavor of a pinch of pepper really brings out the flavor of the chocolate. The mixed nuts should include some sliced almonds, but otherwise you can just use some snacking nuts. I've been making these truffles ever since I was single and gave them a go with store-bought chocolate bars this time. Since these truffles aren't too sweet, my family really loves them.I used 2 bars of dark chocolate from Lawson for this recipe which weighed 75 g each.If you are using milk chocolate instead, please reduce the amount of cream to 75 ml.You don't have to add any mizuame if you don't have any.If you want to make more authentic truffles, give them a light coating of chocolate and freeze them before applying a thick layer of coating at the end.
