I am not sure where I got the recipe for these cookies, but have been making them at Christmas for over 40 years. They melt in your mouth! You can use any kind of nuts, but pecans are my favourite.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupbutter
  • 1 Tbspsugar
  • Pinchsalt
  • 1 cupfinely ground nuts
  • 1 tspvanilla
  • 7/8 cupflour
  • 1 cupicing sugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream butter, sugar and salt.

  2. 2

    Add nuts and vanilla.

  3. 3

    Work in flour. Blend well.

  4. 4

    Form small balls and place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 300 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, until barely brown.

  5. 5

    Coat thoroughly in icing sugar while still hot.

  6. 6

    Enjoy!
