I recreated my mom's shabu-shabu recipe! This is my family's favorite shabu-shabu dipping sauce.

You can use lots of ground sesame, as much as you want! Soak the kombu ahead of time in the listed quantity of water. Recipe by DearMIHO

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 300 mlDashi stock (kombu and water)
  2. 5 tbspGround sesame seeds (white)
  3. 5 tbspVinegar
  4. 6 tbspSugar
  5. 6 tbspSoy sauce

Cooking Instructions

    Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, and it's done!! The smell of sesame is irresistible!

    The combination of this broth and meat is the best! Simmer udon noodles in the leftover sauce for the final dish.
