Medium rare rump steak with rosemary 🌱 🥩
I sometimes need to treat myself during lockdown and this has been the go-to since it’s super easy but also fancy (especially with some rosemaries) 🌱 🥩 🍷
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Heat up the vegetable oil on high heat. While heating up the oil, season the meat with salt and pepper
- 2
Cook the meat for about 2.5 min and flip it over
- 3
Once flipped, add in the rosemary and butter and scoop the oil on top of the meat as you cook. For medium rare, I usually cook it for 2-3 min.
- 4
Adding in the sliced garlic after a minute and move the rosemary on top of the meat. Take out the garlic once it’s crispy brown
- 5
After about 2.5min, you can put the steak on a plate. Put a foil on top and let it sit for another 5min
- 6
While you let the steak sit, you can do a quick pan fried asparagus and mushroom. No need to add seasoning
- 7
Put the vegetable on the plate and it’s done!!!!
Tips

Basting steak with rosemary
I have a huge rosemary bush in the garden so always looking for new ways to use it. I like to use it as a basting brush which infuses flavour into steak 🥩 🌿

Make your asparagus more flavourful
Cut the asparagus diagonally especially if you are pan frying them.It will make the seasoning stick better as well as make it cook faster👍

Quick tip after cooking the steak
After cooking the steak, put a foil over the plate and let it cook on the plate for about 5min. This adds some flavor to the steak

Beef Steak with Lots of Veggies Beef Steak with Lots of Veggies
When I was a student, my friend's mother told me that cooking the meat this way would make it tender. I'm not sure if this is true or false, but nevertheless, that's how I've cooked beef since then.Serving this steak with fancy sauce sounds great too, but it's also amazing with "Super Versatile Garlic Soy Sauce". If you don't have "Basil Butter", you can also use regular butter. Recipe by chima@ cookpad.japan -
Bill Conlon's Steak-Eggs Bill Conlon's Steak-Eggs
My dad was a big-time foodie and excellent cook. He invented this easy recipe back in the 1950s, and it's been a family favorite ever since. A great way to repurpose leftover steak, but I've also been known to cook a steak just to make into steak-eggs.Measurements aren't really important here; you really go by looks and consistency of the batter, which depends on how much leftover steak you're using. It should be just a little bit looser than cake batter. It's also delicious to add leftover sauteed mushrooms and/or caramelized onions to the batter, if you have them on hand. Or top the cooked steak-eggs with sauteed mushrooms or homemade mushroom gravy. Maggie Conlon -

Beek Steak Softened with Yogurt Beek Steak Softened with Yogurt
I saw on TV that lean beef is good for muscle building and burning fat, and there happened to be a lot of beef steak piled up on sale, so I tried making this.It doesn't have the softness of marbled beef, but it's got a good texture and flavor.Since you'll be cooking the onions in the yogurt and the meat's juices there's no need for preseasoning.I say this softens tough beef, but since it starts out as tough you're still not going to get that marbled beef softness.
