Simple Waffles in One Bowl

Looking at various recipes I came up with my own simple, improved version! My husband and kids love these waffles.

This batter will stick to your waffle maker, lol. So be sure to oil it up to make it easier to remove them.
This is not too sweet, so feel free to adjust the amount of granulated sugar. Recipe by 27mark

Ingredients

16 servings
  1. 150 grams*Cake flour
  2. 150 grams*Bread (strong) flour
  3. 80 grams*Sugar
  4. 1 pinch*Salt
  5. 1 tbsp*Baking powder
  6. 1Egg
  7. 5 tbspVegetable oil
  8. 300 mlMilk
  9. 1Vanilla essence
  10. 1Granulated sugar (for topping)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Place the bowl on a scale and add the * ingredients in order while measuring. After adding, mix in a circular motion.

  2. 2

Put the egg and the vegetable oil in the center and mix lightly. Turn on your waffle maker here.

  3. 3

Add the milk a little at a time, mixing as you go. Add the vanilla essence at some point. (It's okay if you don't have any though.)

  4. 4

At this point you should have batter that's somewhat heavier than pancake batter.

  5. 5

Wipe some oil across your preheated waffle maker and pour in the batter. Sprinkle with the granulated sugar. This time I also added white chocolate!

  6. 6

Add a bit more batter on the top just to cover and it's all good. Close the lid and start baking! Be sure to check on it from time to time.

  7. 7

Here's our waffle maker. I dunno why but they get stuck on the lid. We just use the chopsticks to pop 'em off.

  8. 8

If you don't have a waffle maker you can cook these in a frying pan. Make them small and create a cute little pancake tower.
