I tried a fish dish.

Ingredients

  1. 12Sardines (10-12 cm)
  2. 1knob Ginger
  3. 2and 1/2 tablespoons ☆ Soy sauce
  4. 1and 1/2 tablespoons ☆ Sugar
  5. 1 tbspMirin
  6. 1 tbsp☆ Sake
  7. 150 mlWater

Cooking Instructions

    Cut off the head of sardines from the gill area. Chop the fish in half.

    Push the guts out with chopsticks.

  3. 3

    Rinse the chopped sardines well with water.

  4. 4

    Julienne the ginger.

  5. 5

    Put the ☆ seasonings and sardines in a pot and sprinkle the ginger on top.

    Bring to a boil over high heat.

  7. 7

    When it comes to a boil, turn down to medium-low heat. Skim off any scum.

  8. 8

    Simmer until the liquid in the pot has evaporated.

    Serve on a plate, and it's done.
