I got a lot of potatoes on sale (they were only 9 yen a piece!)
My potato-loving daughter loves this. She can eat up a big serving lickety-split.

In order for the potatoes to be dense and floury, be sure to stir fry them over low to low-medium heat. Recipe by Chisora

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2 largePotatoes
  2. 1 cloveGarlic
  3. 3 sliceBacon
  4. 3 tbspOlive oil
  5. 1Salt and pepper
  6. 1Finely chopped parsley (or dried parsley)

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the potatoes and slice to about 5 mm thick. Soak in a bowl of water, drain and pat dry. Slice the garlic thinly.

    Slice the bacon into thin strips.

  3. 3

    Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, put in the garlic and potatoes, and stir fry slowly over low-medium heat.

    Brown both sides.

  5. 5

    Wipe excess oil in the pan with paper towels.

  6. 6

    Add the bacon, and cook until crispy.

  7. 7

    Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with parsley...and it's done!
