I've loved this recipe by my mom since I was a kid.
Everybody from kids to adults love them. They are also great to take to somebody's house for a potluck party!

Please make sure to cook through the ground pork during Step 2. I recommend going with a 1:1 ratio of soy sauce to sake. Recipe by saki0806

  9. 1 tbspSesame oil
  10. 1Salt and pepper
  11. 1 tbspKatakuriko
  12. 2 tbspWater
  13. 1Spring roll wrappers

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the Chinese chives into 5 cm lengths. Shred the Japanese leek. Cut the shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo shoots into 5 mm cubes.

  2. 2

Heat the sesame oil, cook the ground pork through, and season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Add all the vegetables to the meat, flavour with the soy sauce and sake, then stir-fry.

  4. 4

Thicken the sauce with the katakuriko dissolved in water, and the filling is ready. Let it cool for a little while.

  5. 5

Wrap with spring roll wrappers (please refer to the instructions for wrapping the spring rolls on the package).

  6. 6

Deep-fry them. Since the filling is already cooked through, they are ready when the wrappers turn golden brown.
