Easy but Genuine Sesame Tofu with Miso Sauce

My daughter loves sesame tofu and I wanted to make it at home. That is why I came up with this recipe.
The most important thing is to grind up the sesame seeds finely!! Since the amount is small, it does not take too much work. Recipe by Jinpiyo

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Soak the gelatin in water.
- 2
Grind the sesame seeds (until oil comes out and it is moistened). You can use a food processer.
- 3
Warm the milk in a microwave at 600 W for 50 seconds. In a bowl, add the warmed milk and the drained and squeezed gelatin and mix until the gelatin dissolves.
- 4
Add the water and the sesame seeds from Step 2 into the bowl from Step 3, and mix them well. Add the cornstarch and mix more.
- 5
Microwave the mixture from Step 4 at 600 W for 2 minutes. Using a whisk, mix it really well until it thickens and the sesame seeds no longer sink to the bottom.
- 6
Season it with salt and sugar. Dip the mold in water and pour the mixture in it. Chill it in the refrigerator.
- 7
Transfer it into a serving bowl. Eat it with your favorite sauce. Miso sauce, sesame sauce, wasabi and soy sauce, or black sugar syrup go well with this tofu.
- 8

Delicious Tofu with Umeboshi Mayo Sauce Delicious Tofu with Umeboshi Mayo Sauce
Drain excess water from the tofu first, cut into small pieces, then mix with the dressing. It prevents the dish from being watery. It also helps to improve the dish's appearance, and makes the dish absorb the flavor better.Use your preferred amount of umeboshi. You can just top the mixed seasoning on the chilled tofu, instead of mixing it all together. You can make many variations by using nori-seaweed tsukudani (simmered in soy sauce), kimchi, spicy salted cod roe, takana pickles, shibazuke (pickled vegetables in salt and shiso leaves), nametake mushrooms, tuna and soy sauce, etc... as a dressing. It's also delicious to sprinkle garnishes, such as sesame seeds. Recipe by Hironozomiyuuma cookpad.japan -
