Wasabi Cucumbers

I learned this recipe from my grandparents. It's great for using up lots of cucumbers in the summer.

1/2 teaspoon is on the low side, and I prefer about 1 teaspoon. This is best chilled. If the cucumbers look dirty after rolling them on the cutting board, wash them off and sprinkle with more salt. Recipe by Yuki

Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 2Cucumbers
  2. 1/2to 1 teaspoon Salt
  3. 1to 3 cm from a tube Wasabi
  4. 1 largeA plastic container with a lid

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wash the cucumbers well, sprinkle with salt and roll while pressing down on a cutting board. Cut into easy to eat pieces. Don't wash off the salt and put the pieces as-is in the plastic container.

    Add the wasabi to the plastic container. Put the lid on and shake well. Taste and adjust the seasoning. When the flavors are evenly distributed, it's done.
