Cooking Instructions
- 1
Peel some parts of the cucumber using a peeler. Cut in half lengthwise, and cut diagonally into thin slices.
- 2
Cut the apple into quarter round slices, and soak in lightly salted water to prevent it from changing the color.
- 3
Make the Choregi dressing. Add the grated apple and garlic to the basic Chinese dressing, and mix well.
- 4
You can store the basic Chinese dressing for a long time, but once you add in the apple, you can't do that, so please make it each time.
- 5
Rip up the loose leaf lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Squeeze the excess water out from the apple and cucumber, then mix with the lettuce.
- 6
Mix the vegetables with the Choregi dressing, and done. Please just toss the vegetables in the dressing instead of rubbing it in.
- 7
Shred the white part of the Japanese leek, and put a lot of it on top the salad. Swirl in ra-yu on top of the leek if you like. Alternatively, you can mix it in the other vegetables.

[Referral recipe] It's also delicious to eat with the basic Chinese dressing.

Chinese Chicken Salad Dressing Chinese Chicken Salad Dressing
So Chinese Chicken Salad was invented in an era in our culinary timeline in which anything that had soy sauce in it was considered Asian and everything Asian was thought to be Chinese. Its now somewhat politically incorrect and obsolete title aside, the reason it's still served in restaurants all over the country today is that, well, it's yummy. To make a super easy weeknight meal, buy yourself a packet of mixed salad greens, some of those La Choy Fried Chow Mein Noodles, a rotisserie chicken, green onions and cilantro, maybe some bean sprouts if you're so inclined, come home, take 10 minutes to make the dressing, throw everything together in a big mixing bowl, toss, and enjoy a light, healthful and delicious dinner! x -

Japanese Seaweed Salad with Sesame & Miso Dressing Japanese Seaweed Salad with Sesame & Miso Dressing
Japanese seaweed salad with sesame and miso dressing is a quick and very refreshing recipe which is perfect to eat during the hot summer weather. I will share with you two different ways to prepare this salad. One with Japanese mustard greens (mizuna); and one with cucumber, red leaf lettuce and tomato.35 years ago in Japan, I was introduced to the Japanese seaweed salad(Kaisou Sarada in Japanese) and fell in love with this dish. An authentic Japanese seaweed salad is not the same as those you get in the Japanese restaurant in the State. If you’ve ever had it, it actually tastes so much better.Video instruction: youtu.be/6XfgAMoe_Gs Julie - Mrs. Lin's Kitchen -
Salad with Strawberry Dressing Served in a Noodle Basket Salad with Strawberry Dressing Served in a Noodle Basket
I made this recipe using a photo in an American magazine as reference. Strawberry dressing is sold in cans, but every brand I've tried has too much balsamic vinegar for my taste, killing the flavor of the strawberries. So I made a dressing with the proportions I like. It's an easy yet really delicious dressing that I'm very proud of.Choose a flat pasta-type like linguine or fettuccine for the noodle basket. Drain the boiled pasta very well, and then stick onto the surface of a bowl. Don't rinse the pasta or it will not stick. Don't forget to brush the surface of the bowl with oil. If you want the dressing to be richer, add olive oil. I recommend young baby spinach leaves. For 2 servings. Recipe by Yukirinrin cookpad.japan -
