Tabbouleh is a predominantly Lebanese salad which is now famous all over the middle East and you will find so many restaurants and eating joints serving this delicious salad. Made with burgul wheat, parsley, mint, tomato, lemon and olive oil, it is very simple to make and dense with nutrition and health. Enjoy with your Mezze platter.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1/2 cupFine burghul or burgul wheat
  2. 1 cupFinely chopped parsley or coriander leaves
  3. 1/4 cupFinely chopped mint
  4. 1Finely chopped tomato large without seed
  5. as per taste Salt, Pepper and cumin powder
  6. as per taste Lemon juice of a whole lemon
  7. 2 tablespoonsOlive oil
  8. 1 cupBoiling water

Cooking Instructions

    First, wash the grains of wheat and soak and boiling water for 15 minutes.

    Then drain and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and lemon juice to it, mix and cover. Keep to absorb for 10 minutes.

    Take a deep bowl and add the chopped leaves and tomatoes to it. Then add the burgul wheat and mix with fork.

    Add salt, Pepper, lemon juice and gently mix well. Serve in a ceramic deep flat dish topped with more olive oil and garnished with tomato slices and lemon wedges. Enjoy with your meals.
