Ingredients

10 servings
  1. 30 gramsCarrot paste
  2. 60 gramsCake flour
  3. 60 gramsUnsalted butter
  4. 60 gramsSugar (light brown sugar)
  5. 1Egg (medium)
  6. 1/2 tspBaking powder

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

■Preparation: Melt the butter in the microwave. Grease the madeleine molds with some butter, dust with flour, and let cool.

  2. 2

In a bowl, beat the egg. Add the sugar and whisk until it has thickened. Add the carrot paste a little at a time, mixing as you go.

  3. 3

Sift the flour and baking powder into the bowl and mix together.

  4. 4

Add the melted butter and mix well. Let chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

  5. 5

Scoop the batter into the molds. If you fill them too high, they will rise over the tops, so be careful.

  6. 6

Heat the oven to 190℃ (a bit higher if using an electric oven) and bake for 20 minutes (or until a skewer or toothpick inserted comes out clean).
