No Heavy Cream Needed Easy Mashed Potatoes

I don't really have a story, but I just wanted to avoid using heavy cream, a food processor or electric mixer that are such a hassle to clean up, and came up with this recipe lol.

You can add plenty of milk, since it will evaporate when heated.
By adding a lot of milk, the milky taste will increase! It'll become a mild tasting mashed potatoes. Recipe by Hiyori@home

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 3 mediumPotatoes
  2. 100 mlMilk
  3. 1 blockButter
  4. 1/4 tspConsomme stock granules
  5. 1Salt, pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the potatoes and cut into bite-sized pieces. Add the potatoes in a pot of water and bring to a boil.

    Boil the potatoes until tender, drain the water and mash the potatoes with a potato masher.

  3. 3

    Add the butter, milk, consomme stock cube and salt into the pot from Step 2 and mix it well with a wooden spatula (add the milk in several batches. Add the salt little by little while tasting it).

    Turn on the heat again and cook the potatoes over low to medium heat to evaporate the milk until thickened and it is done Sprinkle on some pepper if you desire and enjoy.
