When my girls were growing up red sauce wasn't their favorite. I created this creamy pasta cuisine and it became my girls new favorite pasta recipe. Over the years, I've tweaked and perfected this simple recipe and now when the girls come home for a family dinner this is always a request!

Ingredients

40 minutes
6 servings
  1. 4medium heads of broccoli, cut into florets
  2. 1 lblinguine pasta - I like the organic version from Aldi
  3. 2 lbraw shimp, thawed, peeled and deveined
  4. 1/4 cupolive oil
  5. 1/4 cupbutter
  6. 3 tbsminced garlic
  7. 1 cuppasta water or to your liking
  8. 1 cupfreshly grated parmesan cheese
  9. salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

40 minutes

    Steam broccoli until cooked, about 15-20 minutes.

    Boil pasta in salted water per the package. Make sure to set aside pasta water.

  3. 3

    For the shrimp, heat up olive and butter in a fry pan on medium heat. Add garlic and shrimp and cook until no longer translucent, about 5 minutes.

    In a LARGE bowl, add the linguine, broccoli, shrimp, cheese and ladle over pasta water. Add salt, pepper and more cheese to taste. Enjoy!
